Hello every one!
Once again, thanks for stopping by and checking out my site. I’m a newbie to this application so bare with me please while I try to figure out how to get the URL connected with my domain or redirect the page back to http://www.Khatiya-Korner.com . Anybody familiar with this sort of set-up? Help please. (done)
I’ve been MIA for awhile due to these “tough economic times” but I’m getting a hang of it now and going with the flow
So, I got back up, got motivated and back in the kitchen learning and putting together new & creative dishes.
I’ve decided to wipe the Message Board from my site and replace it with this Blog because there was just too much spamming going on in that Board. At first it wasn’t much like only 1 or 2 which I can manually delete but then it just gotten out of control. I think these people have some sort of automated system that flash out spam and targets Message Board like mine. Anyhow, I read that WordPress have a good protection against spamming
.
From now on, I will try to post more frequently. I think I will start by sharing some of the dishes I’ve made and see if anybody is interested in the recipe before I start elaborating on it. What do you think? Any ideas/suggestions on what you would like to see here?

If you need help setting up to your blog you can just shoot me an e-mail ^___-”. It’s not so hard to have it to redirect back to your main domain. My e-mail is webmaster@thaiallstars.net
Hi Tina,
Thanks for stopping by. You will be hearing from me soon to get some help on this domain redirection stuff.
Hiiiiiii Tiya…. Just want to let u know, that your food looks eak eak…. hahahaha. j/k.
the food looks tasty. maybe you can share recipes on your blog. i love Cambodian food so much. nice blog, na.
Hi Katiya!
I’m so glad I came across your blog. I love browsing through new recipe ideas. Since I’ve moved away from my family, I really miss eating khmer food. I try to find khmer recipes online and there aren’t that many out there. Well, not as many as Thai recipes. Although Thai and Khmer food are very much similar, there is something about khmer food that satisfy my taste buds
Perhaps, it’s because I grew up eating khmer food my whole life.
Well, I just want to say keep up the good work. Great job on your videos and your photos. I will check back from time to time for some more ideas from you.
Take Care!
Hi Khatiya,
I started cooking more after I got married and moved away from my family. My husband is american and he LOVES khmer/thai food so I try to cook differnt dishes for him. One recipe that I really want to try is your amok recipe. But there’s one important ingredient that im missing, which is sluk kroach (kaffir lime leaves). Would it taste just as good if I try to make the dish without that?
Thanks,
Sreyneang21
Thank you so much for the tip. I will give it a try and let you know the outcome
Aw Kun Chraun!
I’ve been craving for this one particular food for so long. Please help me end this severe craving. I don’t know what the exact name is. I’ll try my best to describe it. Its got ground pork, little green egg plants, has fermented fish and the sauce is red. It’s a dip to go with fresh vegetables. My mom usually makes this for Cambodian New Years. I’ve been away from home for like 7 years and miss my mom’s cooking so much. If I can make this dish at least I will feel a little closer to home. Thanks
Which recipe would you be interested? Since I post dishes almost every day now there’s a bunch
So if you are interested in a particular one, just let me know. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Sreyneang!
But like you said, when you are away and it’s not easy accessible, you sort of miss it. I hope that my recipe can help satisfy your hunger for Khmer Food. If you do try making it, please let me know how it turned out.
Why do you sound like me? While living with my parents I couldn’t careless of how the dish was made. I just sit down and eat when it’s ready
I don’t know what would be a good sub for the kaffir leaves but as you can see the doesn’t use much. Most of the time when I cook, I just use what is available at the moment and majority of the time it turned out pretty good eheheh. I say go for it and just try it without. It’s better than nothing right?
Your description sounds like another vegetable dip called “Pahok Ktiss”, am I correct? I ate it before when my Mom made it, but have not tried making it on my own yet. Now that you mentioned it, I’m missing it. I will try it soon and let you know.
Yes, that’s right! I love your recipes by the way. The pictures of your recipes look great. It’s like a warm big hug on a plate. At least that’s what it feels like to me. It brings me closer to home everytime I cook your recipes. Thanks
I made Pahok Ktiss for the first time and it is now uploading to Youtube (it takes forever to upload). Check it out when you get a chance.
