I’m on a pickling frenzy. The other day I tried out a new pickling recipe for jalapenos after being pissed off at the store-brought soft and mushy jalapenos.
When I got to a restaurants that have pickle jalapenos (or any type of hot chili) as one of their table condiments I am tempted to order a noodle soup dish. The jar they have on the table is sometime not enough so step over and grab another from the next table. My friends and family knows me well
I really enjoy pickle chili with my noodle soup whether it’s instant or rice noodles. The results was awesome!
It was pickle but still had that crunch. I even brag to my Mother about it .
So after I was successful with my pickle jalapeno I wander around my yard thinking of what I want to try next. There’s green grapes that’s growing in front of the house but I’m not feeling it cuz it has seeds. So then I spot these green plums (it’s the neighbors but it grew into my side – three big trees!) and attempt to pickle them.
I let it sit on the counter for about a week and it’s so delicious! Sour and a bit salty, goes well with a lil salt and crush chili peppers and perfect for summer snacks. I’ll share and post up tutorial on Youtube soon. Subscribe to my channel to see what’s new.

omg i love pickled plums…everytime its plum season here in Australia we go around with plastic bags and gather as much as we can, we also pickle the small unripened apples which is even nicer than the plums!
