After sitting up late last night I woke up to a very piss off mood, yeah!
Plus the weather is getting warmer actuall well above average so what better way to cool off than head to where the water is. Bodega Bay, CA was the destination and according to my TomTom it estimated about 2hrs from where I live. It took me to streets and highways I’ve never driven before (and I’ve taken a lot of road trips within California). It was a nice and breezy.
On our way back, it was late afternoon so we decide to try out some food at The Tides Wharf at Bodega Bay. At first I wanted to try their seafood platter but they warned me that all items were cold and some were raw such as their oyster and clams. I eat those cook and never had them raw before nor do I want to try them raw right now. So I passed and got the fried calamari instead. I’ve had fried calamari before at various places and none had really impress me so while my order was in, I had some negative thoughts in the back of my mind. Boy was I suprised!
It was so G-O-O-D. Fresh and full of flavor. They did not overload on the batter so the squid was nice and juicy. I highly recommend you try this out if you ever go there. Also, we tried their dungenous crab crakes with red pepper sauce, it was ehhh just O-K I guess. ![]()
