Since poultry is widely available in the states, my parents and I opt for mostly fresh fish dishes that are not farm raised. Our decision was also base upon the BIRD FLU scare that was still going on in Cambodia at the time of our visit (Summer 2006). I was introduce to so many types of fishes in my country that I can’t even remember them all!
Sit back, relax and enjoy the video I made featuring lots of authentic Cambodian dishes.

Thanks for your recent comment on my blog on my Cambodian food adventure. I’d like to make another trip soon to seek out more authentic Cambodian here in the LA area. Can you recommend a place I should go and any particular dishes I should have? If you’d like to join me, that would be great, too. It would be instructive–and fun–to have someone to guide my choices and tell me what makes those particular items authentic and how they remind you of home.
Thanks for any help you might give me, Carol

Cheersmommy,
Yes I am Cambodian and I can read, speak and write Khmer fluently. Why, may I ask?
