We went down to Long Beach, CA to attend their annual Cambodian New Year celebration which include the 2nd Annual Khmer New Year Parade in addition to the gathering at El Dorado Park. The year before (2005) I heard that the parade date had to be changed from April 17, 2005 to a week later because April the 17th reminded many Cambodian
of the sorrow and painful day when Khmer Rouge took over Cambodia in 1975.
Here are some photos captured during the 2nd Annual Khmer New Year Parade in Long Beach, CA along the streets of Anaheim on April 16, 2006. This was my first time attending this parade.

I used to live there, but when I left that when the parade started. Never got a chance to see it..Look real exciting. By the way, I mom taught you well. You have successfully learn the Cambodian food to perfection.
