My decision to go to Seattle, WA was really a last minute thing. It wasn’t planned at all. But while we were there, I figure I’ll make it worthwhile and take a drive to Canada since it’s only about 3 hours from Seattle.
Here are some photos captured during this trip. And the trip goes as follow…
The Crab Pot
(located along Downtown Seattle waterfront, by Pier 57)
The hotel we stayed had all these little brochures placed in the lobby which consists of information about what to do, where to go and etc., etc., There was a mini brochure about The Crab Pot which offered a free appetizer with purchase. What a catcher huh? Image looks interesting and the deal was catchy so we thought we try it out. It turned out okay. Atmosphere was different than what I’ve used to. Warm sourdough bread and some butter was served first. Then a wooden board, a crab mallet and a BIB. We selected the buffalo wings as the freebie and afterward, a big tin container filled with a variety of seafood was dumped on the table. Actually come to think about it, it’s similar to what they serve at the Bubba Gump.

The next destination was a drive to Canada. The map estimated about 3hours, I think, but it took a bit longer due to customs at the US/Canadian border. Entering Canada wasn’t that bad. Quick and easy but getting out and back to the state was a pain. Boy traffic was bad and waited very long to get through into the US!
| (Below) This is the scene you see when you enter Canada (at Surrey). You can see the Canadian Flag which is made out of real flowers! (Right) The International Boundary pole to your left you cross over the United States to Canada.

(Below) After crossing the border, we made a stop at the currency exchange booth.
Right across the street are cars leaving Canada and this is about a mile or so from the US custom patrol.

We drove all the way into Vancouver, BC and landed in Chinatown. It was just about lunch time so here are some dishes we tried while in Chinatown. Nothing out of the ordinary. In addition we also picked up some fresh Rambutan. Very expensive I thought $6.99/lb Canadian money, but it’s not much of a difference from US dollars.

We spent one night in Vancouver and after check out time we headed back to America.
As we reached the Canadian border, these are what you would see. The planted Canadian Flag, and the White Entrance.

As you pass the boundry lines and cross into the United State side, this is what you will see. The planted American Flag is also there.

These pictures are so beautiful out of curiosity what type of camera did you use to captured these beautiful picture. I would love to get one just to capture special memories of my new born daughter.
Chenda,
Thanks for the compliments. During the WA State trip I believe I used a Sony Cybershot DSC-W1. Since then I’ve pass down that camera to my siblings. Now I currently use a Sony DSC-H20.
