<p>The other day I had a very late lunch so I didn&#8217;t feel like getting all elaborate on my dinner. Instead I put together some ground pork and seasonings and stuffed it inside the wonton sheets to create this cute little bundle of good-some. <img src='http://khatiya-korner.com/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>A little goes a long way and these fried wontons គៀវចៀន are no exception. Four tablespoons of ground pork and I was able to make over 20 wontons. That&#8217;s a meal for two! While there are so many different ways to fold the wontons I opt to use this bundle method as I thought it was pretty easy just to gather-and-twist them together. You can however use other methods. I also got a little help with a store-bought sweet chili sauce for dipping instead of trying to make it myself.</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff6600;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Ingredients</strong></span></span><br />
21 wonton sheets<br />
4 tablespoons ground pork<br />
1 egg, beaten<br />
1 teaspoon sugar<br />
1 teaspoon soy sauce<br />
2 teaspoons fish sauce<br />
1 tablespoon green onion, finely chopped<br />
a dash of white pepper<br />
2 cups of oil for frying<br />
sweet chili sauce for dipping</p>
<p><strong>Method:</strong><br />
Make the filling by combining ground pork, sugar, soy sauce, fish sauce, green onion and half of the beaten egg.</p>
<p>Place a teaspoon size of pork filling on the center on a wonton sheet. Use your index finger to dab the other half of the beaten egg and trace it around the filling. This works like a glue to hold the wonton together. Bring the corners together and twist the center.</p>
<p>Heat 2 cups of oil and deep fried the wontons until golden brown. Drain on paper towel and serve hot with sweet chili sauce.</p>
