Instant Noodle Soup
Serve 1
Who say Instant Noodle is boring? Now you can dress up a plain-o-bag of noodle into a very quick, simple but yet delicious bowl of noodles. (Left) Here I'm using left-over BBQ pork from dinner by just poping it in the microwave 40sec before adding it to the noodle.
(Right) Ground pork can also boost your instant noodle another notch!
Ingredients
2 cups of boiling water
1 pkg of your favorite instant noodle (used here is Mama brand - Pork Flavor)
1 inch piece of salted turnip, dice
2-3 cilantro leaves with stem, chopped
1 tbs fried garlic (i usually make a batch of fried garlic and store it in a jar for quick add)
1/2 lime, juice
1 small shallot thinly slice (you can also use onions)
3 fresh chilli (optional)
2-3 oz of BBQ (optional)
2-3 tbs of ground pork (optional) |
|
Method
1. Arrange instant noodle along with content, BBQ pork and salted turnip in a bowl. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil and pour into the bowl. Cover the bowl for 2 mins. If using raw meat you would obviously want to cook it when the water boils before pouring all into the bowl. (By adding the salted turnip first, you can release the flavors even more).

2. After 2 mins add the remainding ingredients; slice shallots, fried garlic, cilantro, red chilli and lime juice. Stir to combine and ENJOY!
